She was predeceased by: her parents, E. L. Sears and Claudie Tanner Sears; her husband Charles Beckert; her daughter Shelia Vickers; her daughter-in-law Kim Vickers; her brothers, Jack Sears, Bobby Sears, George Sears and Joe Sears; and her brother-in-law Ralph Wade.

She is survived by: her children, Gene Vickers of Alma and Belinda Sweeney of The Villages; and her siblings, Billy Sears of Atlanta and Jeannie Wade of St. Simons. She is also survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
