He was predeceased by: his parents, E. D. Padgett and Myrtice Pittman Leggett; his wife Shirley Fisher Padgett; and his brothers, Donnie Padgett and David Padgett.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel M. Padgett, Jr. (Ashley) of Oneida, TN, Lee Hawkins of LaGrange, GA. and Brandon Pittman of Alabama; his grandchildren, Drew Hawkins (Sally), Christina Benitez (Jorge) of LaGrange, GA, Lucas Padgett of North Carolina and Jayden Wade of Alma; his stepchildren, Michelle, Taylor, Nicole and Lindsey; his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Taylor, Rachel Hamilton, Myranda Cothern, Sarah Cothern and Cody Cothern; and his sisters, Mary Henry and Kay Lane (Harry) of Blackshear. He is also survived by several step great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
