She was predeceased by: her brothers-in-law, Roger Boatright, Bill Laite and Wayne Jones. She is survived by: her husband Alton Phinizy "Buster" Meeks, Jr.; her children, Alton Britt Meeks (Sandy) of Waycross and Sarah Thornton of Alma; her grandchildren, Alton Blake Meeks (Anna), Taylor Renea Thornton and Julia Katherine Griffin (Gunner); her sister Joy Boatright of Alma; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Laite and Terry Jones. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (201 N Church St, Alma, GA 31510). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
