We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2024, Billy Wilson Smith (Albany, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Billy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Billy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Poteat-Wakefield Funeral Directors - Dunbar Chapel (435 Dunbar Ln, Albany, GA 31701). A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Eureka Missionary Baptist Church-Leary (3891 S Depot St, Leary, GA 39862).
