He was predeceased by: his wife Montez E'Dalgo Connell; his daughter Patricia Ann Connell Mathis; and his siblings, Jamie Connell and Dura Connell. He is survived by: his daughter Penny Ray of Alapaha; and his grandchildren, Tony Mathis (Cynde), Jason Mathis (Misty), Rusty Mathis (Leigh), Ellis Heath O'Herron (late Tammy) and Kimberly Brewer Marsh. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
