He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Whitley and Doris Shaw Whitley; his siblings, Ruby Gray, Linda Taylor (Troy), Annell Bradford, Jerry Whitley and Ronald "Larry" Whitley; his son-in-law Bryan McGill; and his great grandchild Torey.
He is survived by: his wife Winnell Lott Whitley of Alapaha; his children, Cam Lott of Ocilla, Melissa Whitley McGill of Nashville, Derik Whitley of Alapaha and Keith Storey (Carol) of Jonesboro, MO; his siblings, Jo Ann Knight (Dennis) of Ochlocknee, Robert "Bud" Whitley of Alapaha, Terrell Whitley of Alapaha, Don Whitley of Alapaha, Clifton'Kip of Nashville, Wayman Whitley of Nashville and Earl Whitley of Nashville; his grandchildren, Megan Hulsey (Jody), Brittany Burtschin (Andrew), Bobby Russell (Andrew), JB Jilcott (Kristin), Halie O'Brien, Willis Lott (Sarah), Taylor Whitley, Riley Whitley, Bryan Storey (Lakelynn) and Jessica Schumacher (Calen); and his great grandchildren, Gavin Hulsey, Lincoln O'Brien, Waylon Lott, Selah Lott, Harper Storey, Hayden Storey and Lexi Cotman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alapaha Church of God.
