We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2020, at the age of 96, Sarah Tate (Ailey, Georgia), born in Gray, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Franklin Tate; her parents, John Anderson and Sue Lea Green Smith; and her sister Josie Lee Comer. She is survived by: her sons, John Franklin Tate (Julie) of Macon, James Anderson Tate (Carolyn Sylvester) of Ailey, Michael Henry Tate (Margaret) of Decatur and Robert Newton Tate (Shari) of Carnesville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Jocelyn Rhea Tracey (Wind) of Lincolnville, Adriane Leigh Gonzalez (Isaac) of San Antonio, Chaney Tate Waddell (Jason) of Franklin, Marci Tate Davis (Ryan) of Atlanta, Melissa Tate of Atlanta, Frank Tate of Macon, Robert Matthew Tate and Brooke Delayne Tate of Carnesville; and her sister Ellen Melton of Knoxville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
