He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe S. Smith and Virgie Lorene Borden Smith. He is survived by: his wife Frances Marie Taylor Smith; his children, Renee Stevenson (Wess) of Bowling Green, Dennis Smith (Lynn) of Orlando, Angela Beasley (Dwayne) of Vidalia and Darian Taylor (Jo Ann) of Alston; and his sisters, Catherine Hallmark of Alabama, Mary Elizabeth Morris of Alabama and Betty Jo Proctor of Alabama. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 2277, Vidalia, GA 30475.
