She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin Jack Smith; her parents, James Curtis Taylor and Patty Pauline Fields Taylor; and her brothers, Edward Taylor and Gene Taylor.

She is survived by: her children, Angela Beasley (Dwayne) of Vidalia, Darian Taylor (Jo Ann) of Alston and Renee Stevenson (Wes) of Bowling Green, Florida; and her sister Patricia "Pat' Myers (Don) of Alston.
