He was predeceased by: his son James Wilson "J. W." Thompson Jr.; and his wife Myra Freeman Thompson. He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Thompson Moseley; his caregiver Ruby Piatchek of Ailey, GA; his brother Terrell Paulk Thompson (Barbara) of Mesa, AZ; and his nephew David Thompson of Washington State. He is also survived by His family will receive friends.
