He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cathy Wynn Bean; his father Jack Lowry Bean; his brothers, Ranson Lowry Bean and Arden L. Bean; his sons, Joshua L. Bean (Erin) of Tifton and Hugo Montenegro of Stuart, Florida; his grandchildren, Lily Rogers of Statesboro, Mason L. Bean, Maddox L. Bean and Rhett Rogers of Tifton; his mother Patricia Madge Crook Bean of Vidalia; his siblings, Sheri B. Morris of Ailey, Lorna Meyer of Pensacola, Simone Marks of Cape Coral, Stella Jane Isherwood Malcom, Michael L. Pringle (Jo) of Australia and Jack Thomasson of St. Petersburg, Florida; and his friend Maria Montenegro. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
