He was predeceased by: his parents, William Powers Moore and Ida Gertrude Ladson Moore; and his siblings, Ladson, Inez Moore Hendrix, Margaret Moore Tyson, Marcus Moore and Elmyra Moore Ely.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean Griffin Moore of Ailey, GA; his children, Aurelia Rivers (Mel), Cornelia Burns, Nesbeth Blaxton (Chuck), Tanya Youmans (Alex) and Tommy Moore (Mylinda); and his sister Evelyn Harrell. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
