She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dillon Hightower Sr. and Frances Linger Hightower; and her brothers, James Dillon Hightower Jr. of Wadley, AL and Johnny Bruce Hightower of Dublin, GA.. She is survived by: her husband Willard "Polie" Kersey Jr.; her children, Rebecca "Becky" Moore (John) of Adrian, William Thomas "Tommy" Bell (Helen) of Kite and James Willard Kersey (Kim) of Swainsboro; her brother Jerry Edmond Hightower (Debbie) of Cochran; and her grandchildren, Ashley King (CJ), Jessica Shurling (Jonathan), Brittany Wren (Wesley), Dakota Kersey (Krystyna), Paige Ross (Will), Khloe Kersey and Zoey Kersey. She is also survived by Ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
