He was predeceased by: his parents, Anderson Reed and Pearl Love Wilcher; and his siblings, Mary Nobles, Mildred Barrett and John "Bubber" Wilcher (Agnes).

He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Wilcher Vessell of Soperton, GA; and his siblings, James "Jim" Wilcher, Newborn Wilcher (Sandra) and Martha Horton of Rincon, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
