She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard D. Dorsey and Julia Smith Dorsey; her spouse Pearlie Powell; her daughter Barbara Ann Powell; and her siblings, Gladys Ely, Ray Dorsey and Freddie Dorsey.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Powell (Donna) of Wrightsville, GA, Dale Powell (Kelly) of Adrian, GA, Ellen Foles (Shelby) of Stockbridge, GA and Carol Hudson of Macon, GA; and her sister Betty Lou Lewis of Soperton, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
