She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mitchell "Bob" Phelps and Flonnie Wooten Phelps; her husband Harold Burgsteiner Hutchinson; and her siblings, Willard Phelps, Alton Phelps, Roland Phelps, Gene Phelps, Robert Phelps and Mollie Brady.
She is survived by: her son Jimmy; her daughter-in-law Charlene Hutchinson of Adel; her daughters, Helen (Jimmy Whitaker) and Jean Carol Hutchinson of Martinez, Georgia; her grandchildren, Michael Whitaker of Martinez, Sherry Hutchinson Johnson (Chris) of Adel and Brian Hutchinson of Adel; her great grandchildren, Mallory Nicole Whitaker Dunbar (Drew) of Martinez and Allie Johnson of Adel; and her great great grandchildren, Juniper Dunbar and Dean Dunbar of Martinez. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
