She was predeceased by: her parents, Easton Luke and Merse Bennett Luke; her former husband Cecil Paul Martin; her stepmother Ollie Mae Foxworth Luke; her siblings, Shirley Ann Luke Clements, Helen Newana Moore, Johnny Luke and Gene Luke; and her brothers-in-law, E. L. "Buddy" Clements and Glen Lee Moore.
She is survived by: her husband J. D. Friar Jr of Adel; her daughter Paula Martin of Adel; her granddaughter Amy Stein (Jason); her great grandchildren, Colt Stein and Clay Stein; her stepchildren, Cindy Frost (Dave) of Hahira and Christy Friar (Dennis) of Adel; and her stepgrandchildren, Dustin Friar, Janaye Welch (Billy), Charles (Shelby), Laura Brewer (Jacob Keeler), Ashley Edney and Josh Edney.
