Jo-Ann Carlton Blair Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2020, at the age of 77, Jo-Ann Carlton Blair (Adel, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Lee Brooks Carlton and William Moses E-Lloyd Carlton; and her siblings, J. D. "Snooks" Carlton, Freddie Foy Carlton (Clementine), Garnett Brooks Carlton (Anita), John Lamar Carlton and Madeline Broxton.

She is survived by: her husband Rev. Charles Blair; her children, Dr. David Blair (Janet) and Mollie Jarriel (Brett); her grandchildren, Brittani LeAnna Blair, Blaire Ashley Jarriel, Chloe Alissa Jarriel, David Bruce Blair (KaLea) and Aaron Blake Jarriel (Caitlin); her great grandchildren, Nova Grace Jarriel and David Charles Blair; and her sister-in-law Cornelia Carlton.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life service and interment for Mama Jo will be held privately with her family.

To honor Mama Jo's years of service at the Georgia Department of Family and Children's Services and her passion for orphans, in lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a fund that has been created to carry on her legacy of supporting children and orphans around the world.
