He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James Thomas "Buck", Gwendolyn Allen Daughtrey, George and Bessie Wood Sumner. He is survived by: his children, Gwendolyn Grace and James Porter Daughtrey; his parents, James Thomas Daughtrey, Jr. and Marcia Sumner Daughtrey; his sister Heather Daughtrey; his stepmother Ann Daughtrey; and his close friend Wade Greene. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
