He is survived by: his wife Emily Sue Varn Pitts of Adel; his sons, Joel Pitts (Jona Stalvey) of Adel and James Pitts (Jenny) of Adel; his granddaughter Jordan Pitts (Jacob Gooch) of Athens, Georgia; his brother Joe H.; and his sister-in-law Margie Pitts of Jacksonville.
