She was predeceased by: her father Rev. J. C. Smith, Sr.; her husband James Douglas "Doug" Burgdorf; her brother J. C. Smith, Jr.; and her son-in-law Cecil Lackes. She is survived by: her children, Jay Burgdorf of Adel, Carol Burgdorf-Lackes of Adel and Paul Burgdorf (Renee) of Eatonton, GA.; her grandchildren, Katie Thornburg (Kurt), Anna Burgdorf, Jake Burgdorf (Sierra) and Brittany Harmon (Joseph); and her great grandchildren, Parker James Thornburg, Peyton Burgdorf and Aaliyah Harmon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews & cousins.
