She was predeceased by: her parents, James Austin Smith, Sr. and Janie Otwell Smith; and her husband John Edsel Rountree. She is survived by: her children, Chip Rountree, Jimmy (Diane Rountree), Nell (Larry Moore), Monese (Scotty Whitaker) and Linda (Robert Strickland). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
