Shirley Jeanette Treadaway Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Jeanette Treadaway of Adairsville, Georgia, who passed away on September 1, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Franklin Treadaway; her parents, James Daniel Milner and Ethel Moreland Murchison Milner; her half-brothers, James R. Milner and Thomas Daniel Milner; and her cousin Terry Murchison.

She is survived by: her children, Luann Treadaway Nelson (Mike) of Asheville, NC, Ella Kay Treadaway Mann (Howard) of St. Simons Island, GA and Daniel Lawson Treadaway (Eric Still) of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Andrew Milner Mann of Deerfield Beach, FL, David Michael Nelson Jr. of Asheville, Aubrey Jordan Nelson of Houston and Charlton Mann (Bo) of St. Simons Island; her sister-in-law Alice Milner of Opelika, AL; and her nephews, Thomas Milner of Albertville, AL and Brent Milner of Opelika.

Due to Covid-19 concerns, masks will be required for all those attending the visitation and funeral mass.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Mrs. Treadaway's memory may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church (smcrome.org), St. Mary's Catholic School (smsrome.org), or the Xavier Chapter, NSDAR (xavier.georgiastatedar.org).
