He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hoyt Sutton and Edith Smith Sutton; and his grandparents, Sam, Beulah Sutton, Cecil and Gladys Smith.

He is survived by: his sisters, Sarah Williams (Jimmy) and Kathy Sutton (Sue Anderson); his nieces, Christina Silvers (Robert), Lori Todd (Jarvis), Jennifer Bishop (Johnathon) and Amy Tate (Corey); and his nephew Jimmy Williams, Jr. (Justin).
