He was predeceased by: his parent Narvie Edwin Hicks; his son Keith L. Hicks; and his siblings, Lloyd Hicks, Emory Hicks, Willie Hicks and Jeanelle Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Wright Hicks; and his sons, Michael Wright (Patty), Mitch Wright (Pam), Mark Wright and Matt Wright (Keri). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
