She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. Moore and Wilma Jo Gazaway Moore; her grandson William Brandon Brown; and her stepdaughter Jackie Steverson. She is survived by: her husband Jason Swafford; her daughters, Robin Biddy (Miles), Susan Holcomb and Sheila Haley (Mike); her grandchildren, Brooks Brown (Leslee), Amy Brown, Will Biddy (Natalia), Kacey Biddy, Paul Michael Haley, Tanner Haley and Ross Haley; her great grandchildren, Brylee Brown and Annistyn Farist; her brother Jere Moore; her stepdaughter Linda Wix (Lee); and her caregiver Renee Bohannon. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adairsville Baptist Church Children's Ministry in Karen's memory.
