He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alfred Garlin, Sr. and Stella Mae Carter Garlin; his sons, Greg Garlin and Garry Garlin; his grandson Britt Atkins; and his siblings, Oscar Garlin, Z. T. Garlin, Pauline Dyer and Inez Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Price Garlin; his daughter Myra; his daughter-in-law Connie Moore Garlin; his grandchildren, Ciara Langford, Jerremy Atkins (Rhonda), Charlie Garlin (Jessica), Molly Estapa and Emily Atkins; his great grandchildren, Tucker, Annie, Ellie, Whitney Langford, Paisley Atkins, Jonah and Bennett Estapa; and his brothers, William Garlin, Jr. and Henley "Sonny" Garlin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
