He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Maddox and Katherine Maddox; and his siblings, J. T. Maddox, Herman Maddox and Lorraine Baxter.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Louise Maddox; his sons, Harold E. Maddox II, Michael Wayne Maddox (Tracey), Anthony Scott Willix and Charles Mark Palm (James); and his sister Joyce Sumner. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
