Kinnebrew, Ollie Reese, Gladys Christian and Jewel Williams; his grandchildren, Bobbie Jean Slocum, Jerry Scott, Ricky Scott, Lamar Carter, Cicely Carter, Angie Carter, Ora Hunt, Roxy Lowe, Dexter Lowe and Carlos Lowe; his great grandchildren, Trevin Slocum, Johnny of Washington, William McConnell and Preston Green; his great great grandchildren, Shaylah Brown and Zyanna Williams; his children-in-law, Daphne Carter, Sam Sanders, William Slocum and Fado Scott; and his sister-in-law Julia Hayes (Charlie Jones).
He is survived by: his close friend Lenora Kellogg of Rome, Georgia; his stepchildren, Annie Bell Sanders of Kingston, Melvin Lowe (Shirley) of Riverdale, Leroy Carter (Bobbie) of Cartersville and James Moore of Rome, Georgia; his daughters-in-law, Joan Carter of Adairsville and Cora Lowe of Detroit, Michigan; his siblings, Jo Ella Whitaker (Billy) of Albany, Georgia and Hilson Hayes (Mary) of Hinesville, Georgia; and his close friends, William Hill, Sam Lumpkin, Mattie Scott, Dorothy Zuber and Rita Beedles. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
