He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ford Padgett and Bertie Naomi Stell Padgett; his son Jimmy Lamar Padgett; and his siblings, Joseph Freeman Padgett, Shirley Mae Padgett McDougal and Helen Diane Padgett Wiggins.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jane Sutton Padgett; his children, Karen Connell (Chris) and Brian Padgett (Amy); his grandchildren, Ashley Fowler (Jake), Chandler Padgett (Riley), Connor Padgett (Laura Boatwright), Hannah Carleigh Connell and Heather Caleigh Connell; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Wyatt Fowler and Sadie Jane Padgett; and his siblings, Gene Padgett (Thelma) and Clara Shope (Eddie).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the South Calhoun Baptist Church (123 Main St SW, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
