He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. "Chess" Edwards and Bessie Johnson Edwards; and his siblings, Helen Gayton and James Melvin Edwards. He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Cudd (J. R.), Sherry Waggoner (Charles) and Debra Edwards; his grandchildren, David Gray, Anthony Gray, Crystal Gray, Dusty Waggoner (Tara) and Kase Waggoner; his great grandchildren, Arianna Waggoner, Destiny Gray, Danielle Gray, Brooke Inman, Jacob Jones and Landon Townsend; and his brothers, Jerry Edwards and David Edwards (Ann). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
