He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Hiland and Gertrude Daniel Hiland. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Hiland (Christy) of Orlando, FL, Jonathan Hiland of Maryville, TN and Joseph E. Thomas (Monica) of Spartanburg, SC; his sisters, Frances Doss of Maysville, Marilyn Moffett of Dickinson, TX and Jeanette Haynes of Jefferson; and his grandchildren, Raylyn Hiland, Lilly Hiland, Dennis Hiland, II, Daymi Hiland, Nathan Thomas and Kaleb Deadwyler.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Jackson Memorial Park (6825 Jefferson Rd, Commerce, GA 30529).
