He is survived by: his sons, Allan Whitehead of Adairsville and Terrell Whitehead of Chattanooga; his brother N. B. Whitehead of Ten Mile, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Diana Allison Whitehead (Angie), Kimberly Whitehead Janssen (Joe) and Scott Allan Whitehead.
