He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sluder and Betty Heath Sluder; his siblings, Thomas Sluder, Jeff Sluder and Ann Edge; and his grandson Malichi Holden Burns.

He is survived by: his siblings, Russell Sluder (Crystal) and Julia Burns; and his sister-in-law Angie Curtis-McCollum.
