She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Snellings and Ruth Gains Snellings. She is survived by: her adoptive mother Rexine Howard; her sister Adelle Keener; her close friends, David and Virginia Patterson; her cousin Mildred Carpenter of Gainsville, GA.; and also, Maddox, Conde, Mattox, Roberts, Standridge and Brumble.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bessie's honor to the Blewer Food Center in Calhoun, Georgia, or Cross Training Sports Camp Inc for Elsie Conde Camps. Also, those attending may bring a stuffed animal to be donated to the Gordon County Sherriff's Office, which will be given to deputies to provide to children in stressful situations.
