He is survived by: his wife Martha Ray; his children, Lamar Alvin Ray (Michelle), April Lynn Popejoy, Sherry Denise Massingill (Charles), Alvin Ausben Ray, III (Haley), Brenda Aldora "Allie" Ray (Seth), Cody Tidwell (Destiny), Starla Chambers and Brittney Tidwell (Jonathan); and his siblings, Carolyn D. Ray, Rev. Robert "Bobby" Ray (Margaret), James H. Ray, Keith A. Ray (Natasha), Bruce "Kelley" Ray (Missy) and Marty Allen Ray. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
