William Preston Whelan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Preston Whelan of Acworth, Georgia, born in New Haven, Kentucky, who passed away on August 16, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Whelan and Celeste Whelan; and his siblings, James Whelan, Dr. Joseph Fred Whelan, Cecilia Whelan and Betty Seay.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Erika Trelles (Ben) and Preston (Angie); his grandsons, Andrew Trelles, Benjamin Trelles III, John Trelles, Nash Whelan and Brady Whelan; and his sisters, Martha Blair (Gene) of Round Rock, TX, Patricia Boone of Bardstown, KY and Mary Ann Herrick (Jack) of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
