He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Prather Hammonds and Katie Melissa Lindsey; his sister Gertrude Colston; his son Jonathon Lamar Hammonds; his brother Riley Toliver Hammonds; his children, Katie Melissa Hammonds, Wiley Oliver Hammonds Jr. (Linda Tomblin), Dealie Belle Rebecca Morrison (Michael Morrison) and Janet Denise Gore; his grandchildren, Amber Danielle McLeod, Amanda McLeod, Logan Mcleod, Alaina Marie Jenkins, Michael Morrison Jr., Janice Denise Cole and Brianna Nicole Smith; and also Brenda Coleman. He was also cherished by seven great grand children.
