He is survived by: his parents, Jim McConnell and Sandy McConnell; his wife Wendy; his daughter Ali Hester (Evan); his grandchildren, Rylee and Knox; his daughter Katie Cuthbertson (Dalton); his grandchild Hadlee; his great grandchild Mitch McConnell (Casey); and his brothers, Jim, Mike (Maryann) and Bob McConnell (April).

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Cobb Funeral Home & Crematory (2480 Macland Rd, Marietta, GA 30064). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
