She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Long and Rose McDaniel Long; her husband Robert N. Laird; and her siblings, Clifford Long, Jr. and Nellie Long Griffith.
She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie Laird Greene; her grandchildren, Heather Whatley and Brandon Greene; and her great grandchild Ashlyn Olsen of Acworth, GA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ruby suffered from Alzheimer's for the past 15 years and in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
