He was predeceased by: his son Wesley Hufford; and his parents, Robert Hufford Sr. and Ellen Nusbaum. He is survived by: his wife Diana Hufford; his children, Melanie Perkins (Tom) and Alan Hufford; his stepbrother Charles "C. R."; and his grandsons, Benjamin, Nicholas and Christopher Perkins.
