She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeff R. Smith and Era Tumlin Smith; her son Michael Atkisson; and her brothers, Ralph Smith and J. C. Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Martin Cantrell; her children, Teresa Dodd (Bob) and G. Wayne Atkisson (Kay); her sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Eleanor Stokes, Joyce Owens and Carolyn Sanders; and her grandchildren, Garrison Atkisson Jr., Cassandra Wheaton and Erika Hall. She is also survived by spouses and four great grandchildren.
