He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Whitten and Alice Darnell Whitten; and his daughter Tina Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Whitten; his children, Jeff Prince (Karen), Joey Prince (Linda), Jerry Prince (Betty), Jamie Morrison (Buster), Johnny Whitten (Danielle) and Jimmy Whitten (Tira); and his sisters, Elizabeth Palmer, Betty Mathis and Linda Martin (Billy Joe). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
