It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mark Covington (Acworth, Georgia), born in Cookeville, Tennessee, who passed away on March 23, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, James Covington (Jim), William Covington (Billy), Helen Copeland and Lucile Hyder. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Faye Veach; his sister Lois Lacy (Glenda Covington); his children, Mark Covington (Martha), Cindy Covington, Sandra Covington, James Covington, Diana Bickers (Barry) and David Covington (Pam); and also Due. He is also survived by grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to the First United Methodist Church's "Finish in Faith Fund" or to Wellstar Foundation in memory of Dr. John Covington for the Wellstar Paulding Hospital Trauma Program.The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the friends and family who have supported Dr. Covington throughout his years.
