He was predeceased by: his parents, John O'Hare Sr. and Irene O'Hare. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Holcomb O'Hare; his children, Ashley Murphy (Jerry), Allison O'Hare and John O'Hare, Jr. (Christie); his grandchildren, Austin, Tanner, Hanna (Andrew), JD, Nathen, Lacie, Olivia, Micah, Malachi, Riley and Maddox; his great grandchild Cooper; and his siblings, Pat Howell and Steve O'Hare (Janet). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
