He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Decie Ellen Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Phillips; his daughter Patsy Kuipers; his granddaughters, Mary Kuipers David (Justin) and Jessie Kuipers; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Lyla and Emma David; and his sister Margie Murchison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
