He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Tom Sr. Bierkamp and Ava Lucille East Bierkamp. He is survived by: his children, John Jr., Amanda Bierkamp of Acworth, GA, Sharon, Michael Herd of Acworth, GA, Ava Michelle and Charles Gilliam of Acworth, GA; his grandchildren, Jenna, Jaycee, Isabel, Brandon, Justin, Emma Kate, Anna and Jade; and his siblings, H. Tom Bierkamp, Jr., David L. Bierkamp and Melba A. Scarborough. He is also survived by four nephews, one niece and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association.
