It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Vernon Wigenton of Acworth, Georgia, born in Marietta, Georgia, who passed away on August 28, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Joel Wigenton, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Wigenton (Cooper); his daughters, Tamara Wigenton and Coty Keithline (Todd); his granddaughter Kelsi Corrigan; his great grandchild Griffin Suydam; and his brother Edward Wigenton. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family request that anyone attending the visitation or service wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Make-a-Wish foundation or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
