He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ellison Roberts and Jay Roberts; and his siblings, Nellie Mae, Jay Hugh, Jr., Mary Elizabeth, Martha (Tommy), Shirley and Milton.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Mitchell; his children, Felicia, James Thomas Roberts Jr. (Rachel) and Felecia Roberts-Miller; his grandchildren, Chaside, Fred "Nate", Dashawn Miller, Minniecia Saunders (Fred), Kyree, Micaiah and Jaden Roberts; his great grandchild Chosen James Miller; and his sister Mildred. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
