She was predeceased by: her parents, James Calvin and Bessie Smith (Cooper); and her husband James "Jimmie" Leatherwood. She is survived by: her parents-in-law, James "Dennis" Leatherwood (Mary), Tina Lax (Philip) and Sheila Potts (David); her grandchildren, Dave Potts, Michael Potts (Kelsie), Cody Leatherwood, Marisa Davis (Josh), Kinsey Lax and Karina Lax; her great grandchildren, Bella Hackworth-Potts, Carter Hackworth-Potts, Reagan Potts and Annabelle Leatherwood; and her sister-in-law Betty Honea.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Life Journey Ministry at 109 West Morris St. Suite A3 Dalton, GA 30720 in memory of Mrs. Leatherwood.
